Babyhood Georgia Sleigh Cot and Bamboo mattress review

The Georgia Sleigh package lists at $829 with a Bamboo mattress. We check the Luxx cot details, toddler rail and 150 cm footprint before comparing alternatives.

The trade-off

The 150 cm length makes this a poor automatic choice for a small room. Mark the corners on the floor and check access to drawers and doors. You should be able to use the room normally after the cot arrives.

The Babyhood Georgia Sleigh package combines a timber cot and Bamboo Breathe Eze Innerspring Mattress for $829 on the manufacturer’s Australian website, checked 7 October 2026. The matching standalone furniture page is named Georgia Sleigh Cot Luxx and describes a toddler rail and drop-side access.

Bench Score: 7.0 out of 10. That rating is preserved from the earlier package assessment at $799. The new price and fuller Luxx product page have not been used to invent a revised score.

The short answer

The Georgia belongs on your shortlist if a traditional sleigh shape is part of the brief and the frame fits with working space around it. Confirm that the package contains the current Luxx cot and its stated rail before ordering.

For a nursery where floor space matters more than curved ends, compare the Dune. For a similar sleigh footprint, compare the Classic Sleigh. A different name does not necessarily mean a different practical job.

Which Georgia is this?

The bundle page calls it the Georgia Sleigh Cot. The standalone page uses the Luxx name. Our furniture details come from that standalone page and need confirming against the exact bundle supplied.

Babyhood publishes 150 × 78 × 106 cm assembled, including wheels, and specifies a 1295 × 690 × 100 mm mattress. The cot page lists New Zealand plantation timber, two mattress-base positions, a single-hand internal drop side, four lockable wheels, teething rails and a bonus toddler rail kit.

The package page itself is brief. It confirms the cot and Bamboo mattress but is less useful for version identification. Request the current manual and a complete packing list rather than relying on the Luxx name alone.

The case for it

The included mattress gives the package a practical advantage over a cot-only quote. Compare complete delivered orders, with the same mattress type and any conversion parts, before deciding which is cheaper. Otherwise you may compare two prices for different purchases.

The toddler kit is relevant if you want the furniture to stay in the room beyond cot use. Store the supplied components even if you will not need them immediately. Buying a conversion later adds both a sourcing task and a risk that the parts are no longer available.

The published dimensions let you plan the room before delivery. Work from the external measurements, not the mattress size. A furniture silhouette can consume space beyond the sleeping surface, and that space has to come from somewhere in your nursery.

The case against it

The 150 cm length makes this a poor automatic choice for a small room. Mark the corners on the floor and check access to drawers and doors. You should be able to use the room normally after the cot arrives.

The Georgia’s $829 current price is above the older $799 score input. That is a modest change, but the distinction matters when comparing a category table written at another date. The historical 7.0 rating stays historical; current price comparisons in this article use the October check.

The claimed ease of the drop side remains unverified by us. Ask the seller to show the lock engaging and provide the instructions for the supplied model. There is no responsible way to judge mechanism wear or assembly difficulty from a styled photograph.

How it compares

At a starting $849, the Classic Sleigh is a close-priced alternative. The published outer dimensions are identical, so the name and shape do not establish a size advantage. Confirm finishes and conversion-kit contents on both orders.

The Amani starts at $949 and offers a different sleigh profile. The Dune starts at $699 in its Bamboo package. If you prefer the Georgia, be clear that the preference may be furniture design rather than a demonstrated performance benefit.

Verdict

The Georgia is a credible package to compare when you deliberately want sleigh furniture. The decisive checks are room fit, current Luxx-version confirmation and the supplied conversion kit. It earns a closer look; it does not earn an automatic recommendation over a simpler cot.
