What the team does
The editorial team gathers product specifications, Australian pricing, warranty terms, replacement-parts information and compatibility details from manufacturers and authorised Australian retailers. The evidence is then assessed against criteria fixed for that product category.
What our current assessments mean
Unless an article explicitly says otherwise, it is a specification assessment rather than a claim of physical testing. We do not imply that a product has been pushed, folded, slept in, assembled or durability-tested when it has not.
How articles are checked
High-value factual claims are checked against primary product pages, manuals or Australian retailer listings. Prices are dated because they change. Scores are recalculated when a material specification changes, and the article records an updated date when the editorial assessment itself is revised.
Independence and commercial relationships
Commercial relationships do not buy coverage, scores or ranking positions. Babyhood is a client of our parent company, Xpand Digital, so that relationship is disclosed wherever it is relevant. Affiliate commission does not affect the Bench Score.
Corrections
If a specification, price or conclusion is wrong, we correct the article and update its review date. Readers and brands can raise a factual correction through the publisher details on our editorial policy page.
